Our professional development training focuses on the theory behind building a powerful master schedule and quickly transition to practical examples, usable templates and timelines that the beginning master scheduler will find invaluable and the experienced master scheduler will be able to utilize and add to their master scheduling tool belt.

Our Beginning Master Schedule Workshop for Middle and High School leaders will first focus on the theory behind schedule building and then how to build a schedule that is representative of your school’s mission and vision, while honoring student voice and choice around class selection.  Basic master schedule building templates will be provided along with straight-forward guidelines that you can put to use in creating a powerful schedule for your students, teachers and school right away.

Master Schedulers with little to no scheduling building experience are the primary focus of this training.

  • How to build your master schedule to reflect the culture and climate on your campus

  • How to identify and recruit members of your master scheduling team

  • How to build an equitable schedule for all students on campus

  • How to build a Course Request Form that streamlines your course selection process

  • How to assign FTEs mindfully and strategically to maximize the potential of your schedule

  • An introduction to utilizing a conflict matrix

  • How to effectively use conflict matrices, course requests summaries, prep period summaries, and grade level course distribution data to build your master schedule

  • Networking time with other professionals

  • Scenarios

  • Additional templates specific to middle school to assist in your master schedule work

  • Reading and utilizing reports

  • How to build a process that can be repeated year after year - we provide you with the tools and templates to help build your master schedule each step of the way
